Motorola’s Moto X smartphone has been available overseas for a number of months and is now available in Australia. With an understated design on the front and ergonomically curved back, the Moto X punches above its weight for its asking price. It features a 4.7 inch AMOLED display, 1.7GHz dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage (no expandable options unfortunately, though this is supplemented by 50GB of Google Drive cloud storage available at no cost for two years). It’s got a great camera (10 megapixels on the rear and 2 megapixels up front) and delivers impressive run life thanks to the embedded 2200mAh battery. It ships with a slightly tweaked version of Google’s latest Android operating system, 4.4 KitKat, and is available in black or white.
