Designed for iOS 7, this speed reading app displays articles one word at a time at a pace you set. Based on a technique called rapid sequential visual presentation (RSVP) Spritz was the first company that made this process accessible to the masses. Spritz allows users to speed read at impressively high rates: 600 or even 1,000 words per minute (the average is about 250-300 words per minute). ReadQuick lets users speed read their way through Pocket, Instapaper and Readability reading lists or through other content using a built-in web browser. Priced at $12.99 for Australian users, this app will also tell users how long each article will take to complete based on a words per minute rate and also keeps track of what you’ve read as well as reading stats.
