What makes the SmartBand “smart” is an innovative Android smartphone app that automatically records your physical, social and entertainment activities. For any given day, you can see how active you were and how you have been communicating with your world. The SmartBand is in constant contact with your smartphone via Bluetooth (with a 10 metre range) and a vibrating alert lets you know if a call, message or other notification comes in. Fully waterproof (rated IP582, despite its exposed micro-USB port), the $159 SmartBand is light and unobtrusive and an innovation addition to wearable tech offerings.
